On Linton’s west side, a passenger truck hit a pole and became engulfed in flames in the former Bender Lumber parking lot area across the highway from Pizza Villa. Firefighters worked the scene to gain control over the intense fire that resulted, and some nearby residents reported an electrical power outage. The driver is still unidentified.
