Jason D. Franklin, 44, of Spencer, passed away unexpectedly in an auto accident on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Jason was born in Bloomington, Indiana on November 29, 1975 to Mark R. Franklin and Robin Renee (Dunigan) Franklin. Jason was a 1994 graduate of Owen Valley High School and became a certified electrician at the I.B.E.W. Local 725 Terre Haute, Indiana soon after. He worked at Indiana University as an Electrician. Jason was a wonderful father, loved Harleys, hanging out with his friends and had a heart of gold. Jason could cook anything well on his grill or in his smoker and loved being out on the family farm. He was a member of the Spencer Sons of the American Legion.
Jason is survived by his parents, children, Gabriel D. Franklin, Kaylee D. Franklin, both of spencer, sister, Andrea Franklin of Spencer, paternal grandfather, Mervin Franklin, maternal grandmother, Barbara Dunigan and many other friends and family.
Jason was preceded in death maternal grandfather, Dwight Dunigan, and paternal grandmother, Doris Franklin.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 North Montgomery Street, Spencer.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
