Pears & Politicians

One of the more beautiful, and stinkier, of late Linton Mayor Jimmy K. Wright’s legacies.  Not all of the original 300-some trees on North Main and H Street are still around; these trees are very weak susceptible to being damaged by storms and winds.

For the past ten years or so, these trees have shown Linton when Springtime is near.  Their beautiful white blooms are always a good piece of eye candy while traveling around.

Of course, as the title of this post says, it’s also election time.  Campaign signs are also starting to bud out of the ground, fed from seeds planted years ago.  We’ll have to wait and see that kind of fruit those may bear.
