New King Of The Breakfast Grill

My favorite meal of the day is also the one that I get to eat the least. Breakfast, the sit down kind. Now don’t get me wrong, I eat breakfast everyday, but it is typically the cold bowl of cereal leaning against the kitchen counter or the buttered toast over the kitchen sink. The bacon, sausage, and eggs elude me most days. Well not today.

The Grill on the Hill has been serving breakfast every day of the week since early January. Opening at 5 am they are giving Lintonian’s an option in the sit down breakfast market.

I had a few chores to do this morning and decided to hit “The Hill” for breakfast. Upon finding my table, I was promptly greeted by my server. I gave her my drink order of coffee and water and got down to studying the menu. They offer the standard breakfast fare of eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon and toast. There is also three breakfast meals to choose from. I opted for the Hunters Platter.

The Hunter consists of two eggs cooked to choice, choice of bacon, sausage links, or patties, biscuits and gravy, and American fries. I like my eggs cooked over easy and decided to go with the bacon. In no time at all my breakfast was brought out.

The meal was almost perfect. There was sausage in every bite of the biscuits and gravy. The American fries, which I added ketchup to, were a beautiful golden brown and managed to be both crispy and tender and the same time. The bacon was a work of art. Three thick slices of bacon cooked to that perfect point of crispy and chewy. The only fault I found was the lack of toast to wipe up all of the ketchupy, eggy, gravy goodness.

There is a new king in breakfast town, and he lives on “The Hill”. Just be sure to add some toast.
