Wilma Pigg, age 78, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 7:20 am on Friday, January 22, 2021, at Glenburn Home. She was born in Lancing, MI on April 4, 1942, the daughter of Alberta “Buss” & Hilda Lucille (Booker) Reed.
She was a 1961 graduate of Linton Stockton High School. She worked at RCA for a few years then was a dietician at Glenburn Home for 15 plus years and after that she went on to retire from Cook Medical after 10 plus years. She enjoyed sewing, baking and spending time with her family.
Wilma is survived by her son, Merle Pigg, Jr. of Linton; daughter, Michelle Cadell of Linton; grandchildren, Sean David Pigg, Chelsea Pigg, Christopher Graves and Austin Graves; one great granddaughter; sister, Jane Shonk of Linton and brother, Jack (Sue) Reed of Linton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Pigg, Sr.; parents and infant brother, Albert Joe Reed.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
Wilma’s family would like to thank the staff at Glenburn Home for taking such good care of her over the years.
Due to State Mandate, only 25 people are allowed in the funeral home at one time, and face mask must be worn.
