William L. “Lester” Flynn

William L. “Lester” Flynn, 81, of Koleen passed away Thursday January 21, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper surrounded by his family.

Born on September 28, 1939 in Koleen, Indiana to Lowell and Clara V. (Page) Flynn.

Lester was retired from Otis Elevator in Bloomington, though he worked additionally at Joe Chipman’s gas station and James Craig’s gun shop for many years. Once “retired” he continued to work as a self-employed carpenter and was life-long member of the Koleen Union Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving relatives include his wife of 60 years, Imogene (Jackson) Flynn, his children, Teresa (Greg) Lehman and William Scott (Ruth Ann) Flynn. Lester has three grandchildren, Michelle (Kyle Stallings) Lehman, Tristan (Lauren) Flynn and Shayden (Jeffery) Graham.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 on Monday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield; services and graveside will be private. Face masks are required and social distance must be kept at all times. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
