Walter Raymond Graham, age 85, of Bowling Green passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at the IU Health Bloomington Hospice House. He was born in Putnam County, Indiana on May 5, 1935 to Earl and Oval (Mann) Graham.
Walter married Carolyn Sue Deckard on June 8, 1957 in Bowling Green, Indiana. He retired from RCA in Bloomington after 42 years of service and also worked for Lowe’s in Bloomington for 17 years. Walter was a member of the Lifeway Baptist Church. He was always a hard worker and a self taught mechanic. He enjoyed landscaping, gardening, farming, wood working and painting saws. Walter loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Walter is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Carolyn Graham; four children, Debrah Dorman (Thomas), Teresa Burks (Robert), Phillip Graham and Tammy White (Ron); nine grandchildren, Carl, David, Nicky, Christopher, Jamie, Jessica, Dallas, Lacey and Tiffany; and thirteen great grandchildren, River, Willow, Josh, Justin, Jennifer, Wesley, Jayda, Jaylyn, Reagan, Hayden, Eli, Annalynn and Rylee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four siblings Howard Graham, Virginia Blackmon, Katheryn Clingerman and Mamie Clark.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November, 4, 2020 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer with Pastor Steve Von Bokern officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 PM and Wednesday from 10:00 Am until the time of service at the funeral home.
