Rhonda Joan (Gaines) Hisle, age 66, of Kingsport, TN, formerly of Marion, IN, passed away on Sun., Sept. 20, 2020, at Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport. She was born July 4, 1954, in Salina, KS, the first born child of Ronnie & Carol (Hobson) Gaines.
She graduated from Marion High School in 1972, attended Marion College, & worked many years as a coder in medical records & as a medical records director. She was an avid reader & scrap booker. She loved camping & traveling during her childhood and later enjoyed picnics, history, blue grass music, coloring, & spending time with her beloved mother, children, & grandchildren.
Rhonda is survived by her mother of Rogersville, TN, her son, Eric Strawser of Lorain, OH, her daughter, Monica Howard, of Kingsport, TN, her sister, Vicki (Stephen)
Brown, of Dunnellon, FL, grandchildren, Danielle, Caden, & Chase Howard, several aunts & uncles, many cousins, & her beloved fur friend, Chloe.
She was preceded by her father, her much loved grandparents, & several aunts & uncles.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 A.M. on Sat., Oct. 3, at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, IN, Cliff Gano officiating. Burial will be in Shepherd Cemetery, Carlisle, IN.
Visitation will be from 9 A.M. Sat. until the hour of the service.
