Patricia L. Hugunin, age 61, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 10:45 pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born in Washington, IN on January 23, 1959, the daughter of Paul & Frances Jean (Hoover) Archer.
She was a 1978 graduate of North Daviess High School. Patty was a homemaker and worked many years as a nurse’s aid in the nursing home industry. She was a member of the Worthington Assembly of God Church. She was a former member of the Indiana A.B.A.T.E.
She loved spending time with her family. She spent her free time frequenting yard sales, goodwill, Amish stores, decorating crosses for graves and any other place she could find a good deal and get some new boots. She will be missed for her ability to bring together noise and joy to all family get togethers. She gave far more than she ever took. You could always count on a care package when you left her house. She will be terribly missed by all, especially her dog, Tilly.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, John Hugunin of Linton, her mother, Frances Jean (Hoover) Archer of Odon, son, Michael P. (Sandy Wilson) Archer of Linton, step-daughter, Amy (Francis) Hopkins of Loogootee, grandchildren, Courtney, Charisa, Braden, Jilaine, and Brooklyn “Dottie”, her siblings, Linda Potts of Odon, Neal Archer of Odon, Shirley Jackson of Bloomfield, Marcia Harris of Jasper, Ruth Bickley of Odon, and Johnny Archer of Mishawaka, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Archer, a step-son, John Wesley Hugunin and brother, Paul Archer.
Memorial Service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home at 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 15, 2020, with Larry Dyer officiating.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 pm until the time of the service.
