Maggie Marcella Leach, 93, of Odon, Indiana, went to Heaven peacefully, on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. She was born on September 11, 1927 in Daviess County, Indiana to Ira Grover and Grace Marie (Yount) Leach.
Marcella was a member of the Odon First Christian Church and the Women’s Democrat Club. She was blessed to be the church secretary. Maggie enjoyed playing the trumpet in the HS band, reading and growing flowers. She loved making peanut butter fudge for family and friends every Christmas if her health allowed.
Family left to cherish the memories of Marcella include: one sister, Willetta ‘Billie’ Dyer of Santa Clara, CA; nieces, Karen Ann Helm Smith of N. Fort Myers, FL, Linda Grace Mattingly of Evansville, Debbie (Bennie) Lawyer of Washington; nephew, David Alan Dyer of Santa Clara, CA; several great nieces and great nephews. Also surviving are several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Marcella was preceded in death by: her parents, first cousins, Raymond (Nell) Miller, Genevieve ‘Jennie’ Helm; cousin, Betty (Bud) Crouse; brothers-in-law, Gerald Dyer and Floyd E. Helm.
Funeral services will be at 12 Noon on Monday, April 19, 2021, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Pastor Debbie Payne officiating.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Noon on Monday at the funeral home.
