Joan M. Markle, age 90, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 2:20 am on Saturday, October 31, 2020, at Shakamak Good Samaritan in Jasonville. She was born in Indianapolis on December 3, 1929, the daughter of William & Mary (Christenson) Hartman.
Joan was a 1947 graduate of Lawrence Central High School. She was a homemaker.
Joan was a member of the Linton First Christian Church, where she once taught Sunday School, and Tri Kappa.
She is survived by son, Fred (Kathy) Markle of Linton, and a brother, Wally (Barbara) Hartman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wayne E. Markle, two sisters.
