Janice Darlene (Richardson) Freeman Carmichael, age 68, of Mooresville passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at the Franciscan Health Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Bloomington, Indiana on April 29, 1952 to James and Olive (Brown) Richardson.
Janice attended Spencer High School. She was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family. At one time she sold Avon and worked at Boston Scientific. Janice enjoyed crafting, yard sales and collecting items. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Janice is survived by her five children, Crystal Freeman-Burgess (Thomas), Dana Freeman-Ulery, Shane Freeman (Stephanie), Natasha Freeman (Ebb Howard) and Shawn Freeman (Nicole); partner, Lloyd Carmichael; stepson, Clint Carmichael; seventeen grandchildren, Morgan (Raymond), McKenzie, Logan, Miranda, Joey, Anna, Dustin (Emma), MaKayla, David, Lilly, Clifford, Mia, Lyla, Allie, Desiraye, Wesley, and Whitney; two great granddaughters, Whitley and Makayleigh; brother, Raymond Richardson and sister Tina Meadows (Dick).
She was preceded in death by her parents and former husband David Freeman.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home with Brian Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.
Visitation will be held Friday from 4-8 PM and Saturday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
