Donald L. Ferguson, 86, of Odon, Indiana, went to Heaven on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at his residence. He was born on June 20, 1934 in Daviess County, Indiana to Audrey (Faith) and James A. Ferguson. Don married Shirley J. (Blackmore) Ferguson on March 5, 1955 and after her passing he married Martha (Crays) Ferguson on December 19, 2015.
Don was a member of the Second Mt. Olive Church, Newberry Masonic Lodge and was a charter member of the White River Valley Antique Association. He was a farmer and also drove a school bus for 11 years.
Family left to cherish the memories of Don include: his wife, Martha Ferguson; two daughters, Dana L. (Gerald) Sims of Sumter, SC and Jama (Steve) Britton of Odon; grandchildren, Donnie Britton, Jessica (Stan) Lee, Auddra (Mike) Livingston and Erick D. (Jennifer) Sims; great-grandchildren, Karson, Evelyn, Nate, Rowan, Harper and Corbin; sister, Ruth (Marlan) Hastings; step-children, Lee (JoEllen) Chestnut, Ann (Robert) Manning, Randy (Patty) Chestnut, Jeff (Lori) Chestnut and Teresa (Harry) Jones; seventeen step-grandchildren and fifteen step-great-grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by: his parents; his first wife, Shirley Ferguson; two brothers, Dick and Ed Ferguson.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon with David Durham and Adam Cissell officiating. Don will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
There will be no visitation held.
In compliance with state regulations, social distancing and face masks are required by all attending.
