Andrew Robert Kigin, 69, of Linton, Indiana, passed away with his loving family by his side, on Friday, July 15, 2022 in Terre Haute. He was born on January 18, 1953 in Linton to Robert E. and Rosemary F. (Fry) Kigin.
Andy was a huge Boilermaker fan, receiving his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue. For many years, he was an avid tennis player. Andy also loved Formula One and Indy Car Racing, shooting sporting clays with his buddies, cooking, spending time at the cabin and always enjoyed the company of his dogs. He was a Sales Manager with Texas Gulf Export Division and later a Mining Engineer with Peabody Coal Mine. Andy retired in 2013.
Family left to cherish the memory of Andy include: one daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Kigin-Scanlon of Chapel Hill, NC; grandson, Jack; one brother, John (Cathy) Kigin of Terre Haute and Andy’s companion, Cindy Ridinger of Linton.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service to honor the life of Andy will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the animal shelter of your choice.
