Thomas “Tom” E. Marsh, 80, of Spencer, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at his residence. Tom was born on August 26, 1940 in Paragon, Indiana to Floyd E. Marsh and Nelia Florence (Knipstine) Marsh. Tom was a 1959 graduate of Stinesville High School. He married the love of his life, Joan Hamlin on December 3, 1960 and together they raised a wonderful, loving family. He had worked at Rostone in Spencer and then retired from Indiana University Physical Plant in Maintenance. Tom enjoyed woodworking, and socializing with everyone that he met. He loved watching I.U. sports, John Wayne and many westerns.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Joan (Hamlin) Marsh, children, Charles Marsh (Cathy Frye), Jeffrey (Sharon) Marsh, Beth (Matt) Sewell, Robert Andrew (Diane) Marsh, grandchildren, Stephen (Jessica) Rochowiak, Cory (Dee) Rochowiak, Brian (Lauren) McIntyre, Alexis Nicole (George) Pavlopoulos, Joan (Brett) Miles, Jana Chaffin, Joy Sewell, Ashley Katherine (Sean) Hollows, Whitley Shea Marsh, Andrea Jean Marsh, Kyle Means, Heather Means, Jessica (Ryan) Wasik, great-grandchildren, Addilyn Grace Rochowiak, Makaylee Rochowiak, Parker McIntyre, Payton McIntyre, Zoey Rochowiak, Camden Rochowiak, Carter Miles, Chloe Miles, Brooklyn Miles, Carly Hollows, Olivia Hollows, brothers, Floyd E. Marsh, Jr., Ronald Lee (Sharon) Marsh, and many nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and great-granddaughter, Ellie Mae Miles.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, December 18, 2020, at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 North Montgomery Street, Spencer. Pastor Gary Davey will officiate. Entombment will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 17, 2020 and again 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday, all at the funeral home.
Per State of Indiana requirements, mask must be worn, social distancing will be practiced and only twenty-five (25) people will be allowed in the facility at any one time.
