Thomas Evon Long, 68, of Bargersville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Franklin, Indiana. He was born on April 17, 1955 in Washington, Indiana to Ellis Evon and Maryann Martha (Johnson) Long.
Thomas was a member of the Elnora Sons of the American Legion. He retired in 2003 after many years working as a farm mechanic.
Family left to cherish the memory of Thomas include: one daughter, Sara Kay Rink of Bargersville; step-son, Andrew Cox of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Ava Rink, Ashley Copani and Andrew Cox, Jr.; sister, Sue Ann (Dale) Freeman of Odon.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ralph Edwin Long.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Adam Cissell officiating. Thomas will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Elnora.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, November 27 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
