Thelma L. (Boyd) Ferguson, 96, of Odon, Indiana, entered eternal rest on Friday, December 29, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones at home. She was born in Odon on January 18, 1927, to Virgil and Hazel Edna (Ramsey) Boyd. On June 4, 1949, Thelma married Edward C. Ferguson and this marriage was blessed with two children, David L and Marcia Ferguson.
Thelma worked at Crane in the Human Resource Department for 40 years. She was a member of the Odon United Methodist Church and read her Bible religiously. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family, making many memorable adventures. Thelma was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was the best homemaker anyone could ask for and it was evident in the love and adoration shown to her family.
Family members left to cherish her memory include: a son, David L. Ferguson of Odon; a daughter, Marcia Ferguson of Elnora; and a grandson, Josh Wagler, and 4 great grandchildren.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward, a granddaughter, Erin Dove, three sisters and one brother.
Family and friends may call at the Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2023.
The funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2023, at the funeral home, with Pastor John Windell officiating. Following the service, Thelma will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
