Ronald W. Smith, age 48, of Linton, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2020. He was born in Linton on September 30, 1971, the son of Larry & Jean (Hasler) Smith.
He was in the carpenter’s union and formerly worked at SECCO in Linton. Ron enjoyed racing motorcycles, being outdoors and mushroom hunting, and was great at fixing anything.
Ron is survived by his parents, Larry (Rita) Smith and Jean Lisman, of Linton, a daughter, Levi Jeanie Smith of Linton, maternal grandmother, Doris Hasler, his siblings, Ange (Steve) Barnett, Jayson Smith, Shane Smith, Aaron Smith (Shelby Nash), Ray Lisman (Mary Batchelor), Mandi (Chad) Gaither, and Paige (Sean) Conboy, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, August 10, 2020, Pastor Ben Biggs officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11 A.M. until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be given to Lighthouse Mission in Washington, IN, through the funeral home.
