Robert A. Reid, age 93, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at 5:27 A.M. on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2020, at Bell Trace Health and Living Center. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on November 7, 1926, the son of Newton and Catherine (Carr) Reid.
He worked as an Angus cattle farmer and a fertilizer salesman. He was a member of the Coal City Church of Christ and formerly served as an elder for almost 42 years at the Worthington Church of Christ.
Robert, better known as Bob, is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Georgia (Holsapple) Reid of Worthington, Indiana; daughter, Ronda (Reid) Johnson Wolf (AJ Wolf) of Cross Plains, Tennessee; grandsons, Chris Johnson and Todd Johnson; granddaughters, Erin Johnson, Erika Johnson, and Lauren Smith; and great-granddaughter Henley Johnson and great-grandson Sebastian Johnson, as well as many loved nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rex Eric Reid; brother Bill (Helen) Reid; sisters Dorothy Reid Sutherlin (Wayne) and Margaret Reid Bloomer (Carl); and son-in-law, Kenneth Ray Johnson.
A memorial service will be held at the Worthington Church of Christ in Worthington, Indiana, on Friday, November 6th, 2020. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00, with the service beginning at 1:00.
