Rick Wittmer, 55, of Odon, Indiana, went to Heaven, on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. He was born on April 27, 1965 in Daviess County, Indiana to Ora and Nancy (Graber) Wittmer.
Rick attended the Second Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was a member of the Odon Lions Club and coached basketball at North Daviess for 10 years. Rick worked as an Explosive Handler at CAAA for 17 years.
Family members left to cherish the memory of Rick include: his mother, Nancy Wittmer; brother, Nelson (Theresa) Wittmer, of Odon; special friend, Christina Fegan of Odon; niece, Brooke (Logan) Wagler of Odon; nephews, Kendall (Jaycee) Wittmer, Alex (Cheyenne) Wittmer, all of Odon; great-nieces, Mavery Jade Wagler, Penley Grace Wagler and Kyah Dawn Wittmer.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Ora Wittmer.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Bethel Mennonite Church in Odon with Adam Cissell and Carmen Detweiler officiating. Rick will be laid to rest in Bethel Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM on Thursday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Rick to the Odon Lions Club.
In compliance with state regulations, social distancing and face masks are required by all attending. Additional regulations are allowing only fifty (50) individuals in the funeral home at one time.
