Richard C. Rumple, Sr., of Spencer, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at his residence. Richard was born in Spencer, on October 20, 1933 to Clifford Valantine Rumple and Grace (Baugh) Rumple. Richard was a 1951 graduate of Spencer High School and then proudly served in the United States Navy. Richard attended the Chambersville Christian Church which is now known as the Mt. Olivet Christian Church. He retired from Jenn-Air in Indianapolis. Richard was a member of the Spencer American Legion.
Richard is survived by his son, Richard C. Rumple, Jr. and wife Millie of Lexington, Kentucky, grandchildren, Amanda and husband David Beckler, Karen and husband Charlie Bennett, four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Edith Ann (Lambert) Rumple, wife, Shirley J. (Owens)Rumple, siblings, James Rumple, Barbara Taylor, and Charles Ramsey.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 North Montgomery Street, Spencer. Pastor Billy Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in Chambersville Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
