Norma Porter, age 88, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at 4:30 am on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at home. She was born in Knox County, IN on November 7, 1931, the daughter of Leo Gregory & Katherine (Ziggler) Gregory.
She was a homemaker for many years until her children were older and then she went to work as a cook at the Marathon Restaurant in Worthington. She enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing.
Norma is survived by her loving children, Debby (Larry) Malone of Worthington, Pam Stout of Worthington, Steve and Carol Axsom of Jasonville and Robb Axsom of Linton; grandsons, Scott (Patty) Malone, Randy (Mel) Malone, Troy (Dawn) Malone, Brad (Carey) Stout and Justin (Tyanna) Axsom; 14 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Doretta Hearth and sisters-in-laws, Melba Gregory and Norma Jean Steele.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Robert Lee Axsom and Francis Winford Porter; brothers, Norman R. Gregory and William E. Gregory; sisters, Wilma Jean Ray and Loretta Kent as well as a son-in-law, Brad Stout.
Private services will be observed by the family at a later date.
