Loudona J Stephens, 78 of Bloomfield, IN passed away Sunday May 16, 2021 at I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloomington, IN.
She was born December 27, 1942 in Linton, IN, the daughter of Leo Stephens and Marie (Cunningham) Stephens.
Loudona attended Ivy Tech. She was a Jehovah Witness. She studied Human Services receiving a degree in Human Services, three certificates in Social Services – Healthcare and Activity Director. She graduated class of 2000 with honors, Deans List, National Honors Society, Who’s Who among Junior College Students. She became Director of Social Services. Loudona loved working with special needs people, she also loved nature painting. She most of all loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth Schubla, a son, James Tymotha Norris, a brother, Larry “Butch” Stephens, a sister, Shirley Ann Stephens.
Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Norris (Amy) of Bloomfield, IN, a daughter, Tonya Flora (Richard) of Bloomfield, IN, two step daughters, Angie Schubla Hardin (Kevin) of Bloomington, IN, Missy Stuppy (Jeff) of Linton, IN, a brother, Earl Stephens (Richard) of Indianapolis, IN, a sister, Edna Troup (Danny) of Linton, IN, eight grandchildren Casey Class, Jacob Flora, Bailey Rouse, Lindsay Bobo, Katelin Britton, Ashley Chesterfield, Resada Babrick, Mya Babrick, and several great grandchildren. She was also a mom to many young people throughout her life.
Graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN on Friday May 21, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Richard Flora officiating. Visitation will be Friday May 21, 2021 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN.
