Lillis “June” (Thacker) Summerlot, age 84, of Spencer passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Monroe Hospital in Bloomington. She was born in Spencer, Indiana on August 16, 1936 to Russell and Ruth (Parrish) Thacker.
Lillis graduated from Spencer High School. She married James “Buff” Summerlot on August 6, 1958. Lillis retired from Spencer Owen Community Schools as a secretary. She was a member of the Spencer Church of Christ and enjoyed spending time with her family and dog Bengi.
Lillis is survived by her daughter, Karla Miller (Drew) of Spencer; two grandchildren, Brandi Gonser (Mike) and Brandt Miller (Kayla) both of Spencer; four great grandchildren, Caden, Nolan, Braxton and Bailee; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband James and sister Janice Jackson (Ed).
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 18, 2021 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer with Dr. Allan Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
