Larry Truman Gadberry

Larry Truman Gadberry, 84, of Springville, passed away after a short battle of pancreatic cancer at the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 23, 2021.

Born June 22, 1937 in Freedom, Indiana, he was the son of Leo Clyde and Lily Alma (Higar) Gadberry. He graduated from Bicknell High School in 1955. He married Nancy Moreland on August 15, 1959.

Larry loved farming, camping, watching western movies, playing cards, especially Euchre, and spending time with family. He began working at an early age for neighbors, and at age eight began delivering newspapers. Then he added a second job at a filling station and a third job cleaning a movie theatre. He was a factory worker at RCA for 42 years retiring in 1998 when they closed. He was a lifelong farmer. He attended the Owensburg Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Army.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Nancy Carol (Moreland) Gadberry whom he married August 15, 1959; his children, Todd Gadberry (Stephanie), Mark Gadberry (Susan) and Kim Christy (Daniel); grandchildren, Katy, Evan, Jocelyn, Kendra, Kailey and Danica; and his great grandchildren, Jon, Audrey and Malachi.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Gloria Spanger, and his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Jay Collins and Rev. John Moreland officiating. Interment will follow in Owensburg Cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Owensburg Baptist Church.
