Helen Jane Myers, 98, of Odon, Indiana, went to Heaven with family by her side, on Friday, June 14, 2024 at The Villages at Oakridge in Washington, Indiana. She was born on November 5, 1925 in Odon to James Herman and Lora Mabel (Priest) Aishe.
Helen was a member of the Odon Christian Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher. She was also a 75-year member and Past Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star. Helen worked at Odon First National Bank for 17 years then Crane for 21 years before retiring. She then worked at Daviess County Hospital for 9 years before retiring again in 1989. Helen volunteered for Washington RSVP.
Family left to cherish the memories of Helen include: one daughter, Myra Lynn (Chris) McCart of Punta Gorda, FL; four grandchildren, Stacy (Joel) Hinman, James (Melissa) McCart, Lisa (John) Zurcher, Stephanie (Anthony) Owens and eight great-grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Steven Myers; sisters, Mary Gene Benward and Hilda Aishe.
An Order of Eastern Star Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM followed by funeral services on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon. Helen will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Village Christian Care or Odon First Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
