Harold “Hal” A. Shaw, 83, of Poland, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Friday, October 30, 2020. Hal was born in Caney, Kansas, on January 27, 1937 to Ray Shaw and Eula (Wills) Shaw. Hal served his country proudly in the United States Army. He attended Northeastern Oklahoma State Junior College, having graduated in Tahlequah, OK. Hal worked and retired from Anaconda Wire & Cable Company in Marion, Indiana after 27 years. He was member of the Spencer Masonic Lodge, having been Past Master in 2014, and the Terre Haute Scottish Rite. Hal loved hanging out with his grandsons, traveling, and studying genealogy.
Hal is survived by his sons, Jeffrey R. (Jane) Shaw of Jonesboro, Kevin A. (Tina) Shaw of Poland, sister, Patti (Phil) Laing, grandchildren, Corey (Jennifer) Shaw, Kaden Shaw, one great-granddaughter, Savannah Shaw.
Hal was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Priscilla K. (Alden) Shaw, and one brother, Jim Shaw.
Funeral services will be 7:00 PM, Friday, November 6, 2020 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 North Montgomery Street, Spencer. There will be a Military and Masonic Service followed by Dr. Diane Wells.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM until services on Friday, at the funeral home.
A Graveside Service will take place at 12:00 PM, Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Cicero Cemetery in Hamilton County Indiana.
