Dorothy Marie (Harp) Hostetter, 97, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle.
Born September 13, 1923 in Owensburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Sylvester and Ethel (Bruce) Harp.
She was a homemaker. She volunteered at the Johnson County Hospital, she was a member of the Homemakers club in Bloomfield, Indiana, the Lords Cupboard in Franklin, Indiana, and attended the Lincoln Christian church near Worthington.
Surviving relatives include: one son, Robert D. Hostetter (Trish) of Poland, Indiana; son in law David Beatty (Ginger); her grandchildren, Michael Beatty (Melissa), Michelle Beatty Burris (Paul), Hans Hostetter (Colleen), Jennifer Hostetter and Brian Hostetter; great grandchildren, Danielle Burris Carson(Jeremy), Kyle Burris, Matthew Beatty, Mitchell Beatty, Mark Beatty, Levi Hostetter and Luke Hostetter; and one great-great grandchild, Kayden Burris.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo A. Hostetter in 1996, one daughter, Phyllis (Hostetter) Beatty in 1992, brothers, Ora, Woodrow, Walter, Hubert, Zelbert and Dennis Harp, sisters, Ona Spoonmore and Zona Harp and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday and 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
