Donald E. Goad, 77, of Bloomfield passed away Sunday February 7, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Born August 23, 1943 in Linton, Indiana the son of James Cleatus and Alta Ruth (Killian) Goad.
Don was a self-employed mechanic, running Don’s Garage and drove a school bus for Bloomfield School for over 50 years.
Surviving relatives include his wife Helen (Harper) Goad, his two children, Jeff (Beth) Goad, Cindy (Scott) Swaby, five grandchildren, Devan (Kensey) Goad, Ben Swaby, Jessica (Matt) Lengacher, Zach (Carrie) Goad, Wyatt Swaby, his great-grandchildren, Jaxon Doane, Paislee Doane, Leena Lengacher, Kentan Goad, Kolby Goad, Mara Goodwin and several nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by a brother James E. “Jim” Goad, one sister, Lois Toler and his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and noon Sunday until the hour of service at the Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Jim Roach and Rev. Steve Eads officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery.
Mask are required and only 50 people are allowed at a time in the Funeral Home.
The family wishes any memorial donations be made to the Parkinson Foundation in Don’s name.
