Dan Edward Haskins, age 66, of Linton, passed away at 1:47 pm on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. He was born in Evansville, IN on June 10, 1954, the son of Jewell Edward & Betty (Goodge) Haskins.
Dan was a 1972 graduate of North Knox High School. He retired in 2018 from Wabash Valley Correctional Facility where he worked as a Sergeant. Dan enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing drums, Elvis, singing, and enjoyed all his friends.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Shirley Mae (Ray) Haskins of Linton, children, Keith (Mandy) Haskins of Louisville, IL, two step-daughters, Debbie (Jerry) Skomp of Noblesville and Michelle (Doug) Roudebush of Linton, two sisters, Valorie (Michael) Wells of Sebree, KY and Cindy (Ken) Adkins of Henderson, KY, and eight grandchildren, Gavin, Carli, Keith, and Summer Haskins, Jack and Anna Skomp, and Jarod and Devin Cooksey, and a great-grandchild, Cooper Cooksey, and one great-grandchild due in May.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Shanna Haskins.
Arrangements are in care of Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton. A memorial celebration will be held at later date.
