Charles E. Heacock, age 78, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 11:05 P.M. on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. He was born in Winslow on September 7, 1941, the son of Lowell & Geneveve (Tisdale) Heacock.
He retired from the Laborer’s Union where he did carpentry work. He was a jack of all trades, enjoying working on cars and doing various things. He lived in Georgia, Tennessee, and in Linton for the past 20 years.
He is survived by his children, Charles Earl Heacock, Kathy Franklin, Christopher Heacock, Caven Heacock, all of Linton, grandchildren, Kamie Heacock, Josh McGowan, Chelsea McGowan, Katie Vaughn, four great-grandchildren Aleah, Amelia, Briar, and Draven, two sisters, Eleanor Chambers and Rita McKinney, and former spouse, Lonna Heacock.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Judy, Joann, and Billie, and brothers, Richard and Jim.
Private family viewing will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton.
Private graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
