Barbara Hunter

Barbara J. (Pruett) Hunter, 89, of Spencer, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 15, 2020.  Barbara was born in Parke County, on October, 12, 1930 to Ollie N. Pruett and Goldie C. (Horton-Brown) Pruett.  Barbara loved her family dearly and enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  She enjoyed bird watching, reading Amish books, gospel music and bible study group.

Barbara is survived by her children, Dianna (David) Garrison, Sharon (John) Dunn, Debbie Brumfield, John (Judy) Hunter, Timothy (Brandy) Hunter, Lisa (Jim) Hoskins; grandchildren, Danny (Sheila) Edwards, Vickie (Todd) Smith, Christina (Clayton) Abrell, Brodie (Amanda) Halfhill, Ashley (Brent) Pitzer, Mickiala (Aaron) Reidling, Brian Brumfield, Natalie (Tony) Bell, Shelby (Michael) Hershberger, Johnathon (Brianna)Hoskins, Justin Hoskins, James Hoskins, Vanessa (John) Sebastian, Timothy “TJ” Hunter, Gwen Hunter, Lilly Hunter, Naomi Hunter, Evelyn Hunter, Leveah Hunter; great-grandchildren, James, Shania, Haily, Aidan, Quentin, Kysen, Malina, Trish, Josh, Travis, Ryan, Jeremy, Mason, Raven, Joe, Emma, Jaxson, Eli, Willow, Sophia, Delilah, Asher, Hazel, Ezmae, Rowan;  great-great grandchildren, Blake, Joslynn, Branson, Memphis, Kennedy, Shelby, Brylee, Aiden, Jay, Hayden, siblings, Betty (Lloyd) Hopkins, Shirley Clidienst, Norma McCarty,

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Floyd R. Hunter, siblings, Jay Pruett, Doris Thompson, Ruby Maxwell, James Pruett; great-granddaughter, Nicole McGee; great-grandson, Ethan Cecil; brother-in-laws, George Clidienst, George McCarty, Willard Thompson, Alvin Maxwell, and sister-in-law; Cubie Pruett.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday ,September 22, 2020 at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 North Montgomery Street, Spencer.  Pastor Larry Mitchell will officiate.  Burial will follow in Moore Cemetery in Parke County.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, September 21, 2020 and again 10:00 AM until the time of service on Tuesday, all at the funeral home.
