Four Individuals Arrested in Sullivan County This Weekend on Various Charges

Law enforcement officers in Sullivan County were active over the weekend, arresting at least four individuals on a range of charges, from drug possession to habitual traffic violations, according to arrest records obtained by The Lintonian.


Repeat Offender Arrested from Poland, IN

Steven Douglas Alsip, 43, of Poland, Indiana, was arrested on Saturday afternoon by Officer Kevin Abrams. Alsip faces a felony charge under Indiana Code 9-30-10-16 for being a Habitual Traffic Violator. He remains in custody with a cash bond set at $8,000.


Reckless Driving Arrest in Sullivan

Later the same day, Officer Abrams also arrested Liam Xavier Beard, 31, of Sullivan. Beard was taken into custody around 5:47 PM for Reckless Driving (IC 9-21-8-52(a)), a misdemeanor. He was released less than two hours later on 10% of a bond totaling $4,000.


Dugger Man Facing Multiple Felony Charges

Jason W. Camden, 51, of Dugger, was charged with an extensive list of charges and outstanding bonds. Arrested by Officer Hayden Wence, Camden’s charges include:

  • Possession of Marijuana with a prior conviction
  • Resisting Law Enforcement
  • Possession of Paraphernalia (with a prior)
  • Auto Theft
  • Possession of a Precursor by a Meth Offender, a felony charge

Combined bond totals for Camden exceed $20,000 in cash.


Sullivan Woman Arrested for OWI and Drug Charges

In the early hours this morning, Tacesha Rose Scott, 43, of Sullivan, was arrested by Officer Michael Foglesong. Scott faces multiple charges, including:

  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Paraphernalia
  • Operating While Intoxicated (OWI)
  • Operating with a Controlled Substance in Body

While some charges carried no cash bond, as reported; Scott’s OWI-related offense came with a $4,000 bond with 10% allowed, as reported.


These arrests represent a continued effort by law enforcement in Sullivan County to crack down on drug-related offenses and repeat traffic violators. Court dates for the individuals listed are pending.
