To the Editor:
Last week, we had the opportunity to meet with Jennifer-Ruth Green, Indiana Secretary of Public Safety and Executive Director of the Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS), along with Jonathan Whithamm, Deputy Director and Chief of Staff at IDHS. They toured many of the tornado-impacted areas and expressed their deepest sympathy for the individuals, families, and communities affected.
At the conclusion of our discussions, they emphasized the importance of collecting accurate information from those directly impacted in order to better assess needs and inform future recovery efforts.
To support this initiative, we have created a survey for all individuals and households affected by the tornado. This information will be shared with IDHS to help shape ongoing response and support efforts across the state.
If you were impacted by the tornado in any way, please take a few minutes to complete the survey:
Your participation is critical. Please also share this survey with others who may have been affected. Together, we can ensure every voice is heard and every need is considered.
Sincerely,
TiffRae Todd
