LINTON, IN. — The front of Linton-Stockton High School looked a little more colorful today as the annual tradition of hanging Senior Sheets returned in full swing. Draped high from the upper roofline and billowing in the breeze, the personalized banners celebrate the upcoming Class of 2026, marking both a beginning and end for these soon-to-be LSHS alumni.

Each year, the new seniors of LSHS create these large, often elaborately decorated sheets to hang from the school’s gymnasium façade, showcasing a variety of things: their names, future plans, favorite quotes, or symbols representing their high school journey. It’s a visual rite of passage—a way for the community to recognize the hard work and personalities of its youth, while these new seniors leave their mark.
This year’s crop of sheets added an extra pop of creativity, with vibrant colors, glitter, bold lettering, and everything from logos to inside jokes. The display has become a cherished Linton tradition, drawing smiles from students, parents, and passersby alike.
It’s not just about decoration; it’s about identity. These banners offer a public moment of reflection, pride, and camaraderie. As one parent watching the display installation put it, “It’s not just cloth—it’s memories, it’s pride, it’s a statement that says, ‘We were here.’”
As graduation day will soon approach for the class before, these Senior Sheets stand as a proud symbol of the Class of 2026’s accomplishments thus far—and a literal sign that the next chapter is just around the corner.

An awesome way to pay tribute to the grads!!! Congrats class of 2025 miners!!
