Norma Jean Walker, 92, of Freedom, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the Greene County General Hospital in Linton. Norma was born in Owen County, Indiana on July 31, 1928 to Eugene Felts and Mable Irene (White) Felts, however, Mable married Emery Hahn (Daddy) whom raised her. Norma married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Walker, on July 22, 1944, and together they raised a wonderful, loving family. Norma retired from RCA in Bloomington and belonged to the Spencer American Legion Spencer VFW, and the Franklin Township Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary.
Norma is survived by her children, Robert “Bob” (Katy) Walker, Tony (Lacy) Walker, brothers, Max (Beverly) Hahn, Dwight Hahn, special nephew, Dale (April) Walker, grandchildren, Starr Walker, David (Tammy) Walker, Jeff Walker, Doug (Jessica) Walker, great-grandchildren, Quentin Walker, Christy Walker, Skyler Walker, Savannah Walker, Jake Walker, Katy Walker, Chantz Walker, Kinley Walker, Hudson Walker, great-great-grandson, Lucas Bo Walker, and many other family and friends.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Harriet Brown, brother, Clarence “Jack” Felts, grandson, Joey Walker, great-grandson, Tristan Walker, and brother-in-law, Bob Brown.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 North Montgomery Street, Spencer. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 19, 2021 and again 12:00 PM until the time of service on Wednesday, all at the funeral home.
Due to the State of Indiana Covid 19 restrictions, social distancing will be observed, mask must be worn in the funeral home and only twenty five (25) will be allowed inside of the facility at one time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin Township Fire Department, through the funeral home.
