Norma Lynne Gee, 80, of Odon, Indiana, passed from this life to Heaven, on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Loogootee, Indiana. She was born on June 1, 1943, in Louisville, Kentucky to C.E. and Hazel M. (Shepherd) Coates. Norma married the love of her life, Ronald H. Gee on January 17, 1964.
Norma was a member of the Odon Christian Church, Retired Teachers Association and Winkelpleck Library Board. She served for 32 years as a School Teacher at Odon Elementary, retiring in 1996. Norma loved reading, antiquing, serving others and hosting.
Family left to cherish the memory of Norma include: her husband, Ron Gee; one son, Jeff (Peg) Gee of Odon; son-in-law, Michael (Debbie) Alexander; grandchildren, Jhance Wittmer, Chelsea Stoll, Hannah Christenberry, Elizabeth Woods and Rachel Lindner; great-grandchildren, Alayna, Leo, Amelia, Zeke, Cord, Kara and Highland; one sister, Marilyn (Gregg) Curtis of London, KY; two brothers, Darrell Coates of Grayson, KY and Denny (Donna) Coates of Lima, OH.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Ronna Alexander (October 3, 2020).
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Micah Stephen officiating. Norma will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 14 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
