Marilyn Joan “Jo” Hilterbrand, 82, died at 10:27am on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton, Indiana.
Born December 24, 1937, in Greene County, she was the daughter of John Luther and Flossie Ellen (Wright) Nichols and was the tenth of twelve children. She loved playing cards and doing jigsaw puzzles with family and friends, and all who knew her described her as spunky.
Survivors include children, Glenda (Kenneth) McPheeters and Steve (Jane) Hilterbrand; siblings, Madge Jordan, Barbara Southern, Miriam Rollison, Patricia Edwards, Kay Allen, and Gary Nichols; and grandchildren, Kendra McPheeters, Kelsey McPheeters, Samantha Hilterbrand, and Paul Hilterbrand. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and two brothers.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Monday and 1 P.M. Tuesday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery.
The family wishes any memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association in Marilyn’s name.
