Leroy Max Chaney, 85, of Brownsburg formerly of Bloomfield, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Brownsburg Healthcare Center.
Born January 13, 1937 in Greene County, He was the son of Harley and Dorothy (Buzan) Chaney.
Max retired from NSWC Crane as a Personnel Officer. He served his country in the United States Army.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Janice (Anderson) Chaney; children, Mark Alan Chaney (Marcy Joan) and Lisa Moser (Tim); his grandchildren, Kayla Marie Chaney and Brian Max Chaney (children of Mark), Emily Lauren Hoyt and Evan Caleb Moser (children of Lisa); great, grandchildren, McKenzie Jo O’Neal, Madison Rose Hoyt, Adalynn Grace Hoyt, and Riley Paige Hoyt; and two brothers, Ronald Lee Chaney and Harold Eugene Chaney.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in rural Bloomfield, with Tim Moser officiating.
