Jay Dee Metzger, 52, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at University of Lousiville Health- Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. Jay was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 1, 1968 to Ralph and Anna (Hitzelberger) Metzger.
Jay spent the last 10 years working in the lawn care industry. He loved fishing and enjoyed being outdoors.
Jays is survived by his three sons, Jay Dee Metzger Jr. (Ashley Robertson), Chris Clampitt and Jason Arms; two daughters, Crystal Clampitt (Josh) and Jessica Fourman (Galen); two nephews, Jeremy Bellmore (Sarah) and Cody Pennington (Kate); two nieces, Alisha Metzger and Kristen Metzger; eight grandchildren and one great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Ralph Metzger and Roger Metzger, and one sister Pamela Metzger.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 PM on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the Hillcrest Shelter house across from the pool located in McCormick’s Creek State Park.
