Ivan L. Sparks, 84, of Solsberry, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021 at his residence.
Born December 25, 1936 in Monroe County, he was the son of Ernest and Vivian (Huff) Sparks.
He was the Owner and Operator of Sparks Construction.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Ruth E. (Lindsey) Sparks of Solsberry; one daughter, Rhea Sparks Lawrence (Brad) of Bloomington; his grandchildren, David Lawrence, Lindsey Lawrence and Lydia Lawrence; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Sparks, Brothers, Glen, Donnie and Kenny Sparks, two nephews, Gary Sparks and Tommy Sparks and his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Rob Martindale officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Chapel Cemetery.
Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Greene County Chapel Cemetery.
