Fern Hazel Aishe, 87, of Odon, Indiana, passed from this life and entered eternity on Friday, December 1, 2023, at her home. She was born on February 15, 1936, to Ernest and Joanna (Williams) Maxwell. Fern married Charles ‘Chuck’ Aishe on March 7, 1953.
Fern had attended 2nd Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and had worked as a beauty operator for several years in Odon. Fern was a wonderful cook and grandma. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, raising chickens, tending to her flowers and fishing.
Surviving family members who cherish Fern’s memories include two sons, Charles ‘Wayne’ Aishe of Washington, Tony Aishe of Vincennes; daughter Vera (Terry) Lundy of Odon; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Turpin of Odon.
Fern was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Brenda Aishe and sister Norma Woodsmall.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at the Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon, with Adam Cissell officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.
The visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at the funeral home.
