Elmer L. Mason, age 80, formerly of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully at 2:50 pm on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at Shakamak Good Samaritan Center. He was born in Terre Haute on January 20, 1940, the son of Fred & Dorothy Charlotte (Akers) Mason.
He served four years in the US Air Force following graduation from Concannon High School in West Terre Haute. Before his retirement he had been a teamster, workig for several companies. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf.
Elmer is survived by his wife, Barbara (Johnson) Mason. They were married October 23, 1981. He is also survived by his step-son, Edward (Kenya) Guthrie; sister, Elizabeth Phillips; brother, Larry G. Mason; sister-in-law, Janet Mason; several nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Fred Martin Mason.
Private graveside service will be observed by the family at Fairview Cemetery in Elnora, IN.
