Carl Raymond Doane

Carl Raymond Doane, 85, of Odon formerly of Bloomfield, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

Born September 28, 1936 in Bruceville, he was the son of James and Opal (Lankford) Doane.

Carl was a graduate of Scotland High School and retired from NSWC Crane.
He served his country with the United States Navy in the Vietnam era. He attended Bloomfield United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Odon VFW, 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge #84 and the Solsberry Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving relatives include: his daughters, Ronda Sprinkle (Mike), Grace Doane and Jennifer Gadberry; grandchildren, Laurie Petty (Ryan), Ryan Gadberry (Alnee), Whitney Dyer (Bill), Tyler Gadberry, Kelley Stoll (Trey), Jordan Doane (Emily), Erin Beaman (Blake), Alex Doane and Michael Sprinkle; his great grandchildren, Braeden Petty, Taegan Gadberry, Reece Petty, Addyson Gadberry, Kellen Petty, Peyton Dyer, Jaxon Doane, Graeme Gadberry, Paislee Doane, Jeffrey Beaman, Tate Dyer, Fenris Gadberry, Mabrey Dyer, Raelee Beaman, Olsen Gadberry, Truett Stoll, Waverly Doane, Emersyn Doane, Tristan Stoll, Piper Ivy, Kael Vancamp and Austin Phillips; his siblings, Paul Doane, Mary Jane Quiller and Mona Doane; two sister-in-laws, Phyllis Todd and Vivian Heaton and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Anne (Heaton) Doane on April 4, 2016, siblings, Darrell, Bert, Robert, Viola, Norma and James Melvin and his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Grandview cemetery in Bloomfield where military honors will be provided by the Odon VFW.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the donor’s favorite charity in Carl’s name.
