When Joink announced its acquisition of Endeavor’s fiber assets in Linton and plans for a town-wide expansion, the news was met with both optimism and understandable questions. Previous fiber initiatives in town did not ultimately reach full buildout.
Following our initial coverage, The Lintonian asked Joink what differentiates this effort and what residents can expect in terms of execution and timeline.
The company responded that fiber deployment is its core business and that it is entering Linton as an established operating provider with active construction teams and defined capital allocation, not as a startup or speculative project.
According to Joink, construction is already mobilized, with service installations scheduled to begin February 23rd. Approximately 450 homes will be immediately serviceable with additional neighborhoods expected to come online in rolling phases each month. The company anticipates completion of town-wide construction by mid-June 2026.
Residents should begin seeing visible construction activity and phased service activations in the coming weeks.
Infrastructure projects ultimately speak through delivery. The Lintonian will continue to document progress as milestones are reached.

FYI for areas that already have previously installed fiber by endeavor, Joink is setting up free installations now.
