Tanner Bouchie Announces Candidacy for Indiana State Senate

VINCENNES, IN – Knox County resident Tanner Bouchie (Boo-Shay) declared his candidacy for the Indiana State Senate in a video shared on Facebook. A first-time candidate for public office, Bouchie aims to bring a fresh perspective to the Statehouse.

The Candidate: Tanner Bouchie

“As a husband, father, and small business owner, I want our community to be the best place to raise a family and grow a business. We face many economic and global challenges. Strong leadership at the Statehouse can help our community thrive,” said Bouchie.

Bouchie’s campaign is centered on three key priorities:

• Coal Energy: President Trump’s coal agenda will help our community have affordable, reliable electricity. I will work with Governor Braun to support coal energy production and coal jobs. I will fight against destructive solar projects that make electricity more expensive and less reliable.

• Rural First Responders: Emergency workers – both paid and volunteer – perform critical roles within our community. State resources can help attract and retain people to serve in these roles and help ensure adequate emergency coverage for our community.

• Local Infrastructure: Our community needs stable and predictable state funding for long-term infrastructure planning. State funding needs to be structured in a way that local leaders can plan for us, rather than relying on grant applications submitted to bureaucrats in Indianapolis.

With a deep commitment to public service, Bouchie is eager to bring practical solutions to the State Senate that reflect the values and needs of our community.

Senate District 39 includes all of Knox, Daviess, Greene, and Martin Counties, and portions of Sullivan and Owen Counties.
