With children across Indiana beginning their summer breaks, families across the state may be looking for ways to enjoy the outdoors.
Indiana State Parks have been hard at work getting new amenities ready for the upcoming season, including at McCormick’s Creek State Parkand Shakamak State Park.
New amenities at McCormick’s Creek include:
- Repairs at the Friendly Shelter making it rentable again.
- Repairs to the Camp McCormick barracks after the 2023 tornado.
- The new Echo Canyon Trail with accessible loop for all visitors.
New amenities at Shakamak include:
- New siding and air conditioning units for Cabins B, C and D.
- Six additional full hookup campsites.
- New air conditioning unit in the log cabin day use rental building.
