Funeral Potatoes – A classic, comfort food recipe

Here’s a dish for potlucks, family dinners, or when comfort food is needed most.

Ingredients:

• 1 (32 oz) bag frozen hash browns (thawed)

• 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

• 2 cups sour cream

• 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

• 1/2 cup chopped onion

• 1/4 cup melted butter

• 2 cups crushed cornflakes

• 1/4 cup melted butter (for topping)

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a large bowl, combine soup, sour cream, cheese, onion, and 1/4 cup melted butter.

3. Stir in thawed hash browns and mix well.

4. Spread the mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

5. Toss crushed cornflakes with 1/4 cup melted butter and sprinkle on top.

6. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes or until hot and bubbly and browned.
