New Resturaunt in Linton: Daily Dish

On the tail of Jared’s post about Legends closing, I had to bring more food news.  For those of you that don’t know yet, there’s a “new” eatery downtown.  The Double Dog Trish’s Dishes The Daily Dish is located on East Vincennes street.  Catering mainly to the breakfast and lunch crowd, The Dish serves a nice assortment of sandwiches, salads, and miscellaneous food.  If you get there early enough, you can even enjoy a bowl of soupe du jour.

I’ve ate there twice now, and have enjoyed both times.  Last Friday I tried their Taco Salad, and the only bad thing I have to say about it is that they don’t offer a topping for those of us who enjoy the spicier things in life.  Today’s epicurian adventure was a cheeseburger and side salad.  Either they have the worst patty machine on earth, or these meat demons were crafted lovingly by hand–so juicy and flavorful!  For about three fifty, this is a burger you’ll have to eat.

The Dish is definitely going to be a future stop for my lunchtime escapades.  The prices are decent, the service is fast (and very friendly), and the location can’t be beat–if you’re downtown at least.  Let’s hope this time a restaurant plants good roots in 40 East Vincennes.
