The wait is over! After much anticipation and feedback from eager visitors, Shakamak State Park has officially announced the opening of its pool for the season—beginning today.
Starting later today, the pool will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering a perfect spot to cool off and enjoy the summer sun. The park encourages locals and visitors alike to stop by and “show our park some love.”
In addition to the pool, the Shakamak Nature Center is also now open. Guests are invited to explore the exhibits and learn about local wildlife—especially during the routine 15-minute pool breaks throughout the day.
With clear skies in the forecast and summer officially in swing, it’s the perfect weekend to make a splash at one of Indiana’s favorite state parks.
